In 1985, Renault launched the latest evolution of its turbo R5. The engine goes to 1527 cm3 with a new turbo and a vacuum system resulting from the Renaut experience in F1: the DPV
Intended to fight against 4-wheel drive, it will notably sign a victory in the Tour de Corse 1985 at the hands of Jean Ragnotti.
